1. August 3rd & 4th - 8:30 AM to 4:00 PM - 10th Annual Planning Well for Excellent Beginnings Seminar

2. August 28th - 1:30 P.M. to 4:30 P.M. - Intensive Seminar in the LMLI Method, staff of the HCZ Promise Academy Middle School, 35 East 125th Street, 2nd Floor (Between 5th and Madison Avenues) Phone: (212) 534-0700 x 155
3. August 30th - 8:30 AM to 12BAB:30 PM - Intensive Seminar in the LMLI Method, staff of the Harlem Children's Zone Promise Academy Elementary Schools. The Seminar will be held at the HCZ Promise Academy Elementary School, 175 West 134th Street, 2nd Floor (between Lenox and 7th Avenues) Phone: (212) 368-3470
4. Six Eyes Observation Visits begin in the nine LMLI Harlem Demonstration Dream Schools
Note: On-site visits and telephone consultations will continue throughout the year
5. September 12th - 4:00 PM to 7:00 PM - Next Steppers / Implementation Plan Point Persons Meeting #1
Note: The principal of each school will designate a person who will serve as the LMLI Implementation Plan Point
Person for the school year. Implementation Plan Point Persons are expected to meet promptly at 4:00 P.M.
6. September 15th- 4:00 PM to 7:00 PM - LMLI Harlem Dream School Leaders' Council Meeting at LMLI
7. September 19th- 4:00 PM to 7:00 PM - Test Taking Techniques/TTT™ and Blackboard Configuration/BBC™ New Teachers' Workshop #1 at LMLI
8. September 26th - 9:00 AM to 11:00 AM -- Introduction to the LMLI Method, an LMLI seminar with 50 educators from Oslo, Norway at LMLI
9. September 26th - 4:00 PM to 7:00 PM - LMLI Women's Group Meeting and Workshop for women associated with LMLI and with the LMLI Harlem Dream Schools at LMLI
10. October 5th - Send out grant applications to LMLI Dream Schools for Test Prep Tutorials / Big Ideas for Test Prep for all standardized examinations in reading and mathematics for the 2006-2007 school year
11. October 12th - Test Prep Grant Applications due back to LMLI
12. October 13th - Test Taking Techniques/TTT™ and Blackboard Configuration/BBC™ - New Teachers Workshop #2: Writing Great Aims at LMLI
13. October 17th - Send out grant applications for In-School Student Leadership Conferences
14. October 24th - In-School Student Leadership Conference grant applications due back to LMLI
15. October 25th - 8:30 AM to 10:00 AM - LMLI Board Meeting at LMLI
16. October 27th - 5:00 PM to 9:00 PM and October 28th 9:00 AM to 5:00 PM - Dr. Monroe and Dr. Gaines co-teach a course in the LMLI Method for School Improvement for the New Perspectives Program at Bank Street College of Education, 610 West 112th Street, New York, NY 10025
17. November - In School Student Leadership Conferences begin
18. November 2nd - 4:00 PM-7:00 PM Parents' Workshop and Meeting for parents of students in LMLI Harlem Dream Schools at LMLI
19. November 17th - 4:00 PM to 6:00 PM The LMLI League of Exceptional Students Meeting at LMLI
Note: Invited will be adult and student representatives from each LMLI Dream School along with adult and student representatives from specially selected youth programs in Harlem.
20. November 27th - Send out grant applications to LMLI Dream Schools for Holiday Test Prep Tutorials
21. December 4th - Holiday Test Prep Tutorial grant applications due back to LMLI
22. December 4th - Dr. Lorraine Monroe representing LMLI on a School Change Panel with selected Wachovia Foundation grantees at a national staff development conference, Nashville, Tennessee
23. December 12th - 4 PM to 7 PM - LMLI Leaders' Council Meeting/ Presentation of Incentive Awards at LMLI
24. January 16th - 4:00 PM-7:00 PM - Next Steppers / Implementation Plan Point Persons Meeting #2 at LMLI
25. February - Special dance in education programs begin with students in selected LMLI Dream Schools
26. February 1st - Send out grant applications for Crunch Time Test Prep Tutorials
27. February 8th - Crunch Time Test Prep Tutorial grant applications due back to LMLI
28. February 15th - 4:00 PM to 7:00 PM - African-American History Month Celebration at LMLI
29. March 23rd - 4:-00 PM to 7:00 PM - Women's Month Celebration at LMLI
30. April 18th - 10:00 AM to 2:00 PM - 5th Annual LMLI Parents' Conference at LMLI
31. April 27th - LMLI Gala Open House Event at LMLI
32. May 3rd - 4:00 PM-7:00 PM Next Steppers / Implementation Plan Point Persons Meeting #3 at LMLI
33. May 11th - 8:30 AM to 1:30 PM - 9th Annual LMLI Student Leadership Conference, (place to be announced)
34. May 19th - 9:00 AM to 2:30 PM - "Janus" Spring Planning Retreat for a Successful 2007-2008 School Year
